  • The complexity of the ‘collection and compaction machinery’ and the need for specialist off- site ‘transportation equipment’ is greatly reduced, thus allowing for technology cost savings.

• Operational Cost Savings (In the order of 43% reduction)

  • Traditional stationery equipment generally utilises 3 phase electrical power - the Epac equipment uses only readily available single phase domestic power.

  • The mobile equipment for off-site transport will require less fuel since it is less complex and uses less trips.

• Carbon Footprint Saving (In the order of 84%)

  • Direct comparison studies between a ‘traditional system of wheelie bins and portable compactors’, and the Epac Waste System (EWS), have shown that there are definite ecological savings with regard to equipment manufacture, its operational use, and the method of transporting waste.   • This substantial labour saving is possible because of the great reduction in transport of un-compacted waste around the complex itself, combined with the huge reduction in off-site trips to the waste facility by the omission of return of empty compactors to site.

• Endless Capacity

  • By this we mean that the system has the ability to be continually used once storage space for the Gcubes is available. For example, with a wheelie bin, portable compactor, or skip, these vessels have to be emptied before they can be reused. The Epac system can be continually re-used once the Gcube is changed. This feature is particularly valuable because waste can be stored cleanly & safely until the waste contractor can schedule a visit.

• Data Analytics

  • The Epac machine can be fitted with various sensors which can used to collect data to create a number of different reports. For example, the user’s waste weight, time of operation, user identity, weight of the Gcube to name but a few.
